Innaugural opening of Shoot for the Sun

May 2022 sees the first ever "shoot for the sun" - World Championship sunflower growing competion,

Big shoutout to this years sponsors TogetherTV who supplied the seeds for this years competition

You can find out more about the broader campaign they have here it truly is wonderful campaign to bring people together and teach people new skills

What is Shoot🌱 for the sun 🌻?

Shoot for the Sun is a sunflower growing competition, put simply the biggest wins !

The twist ? each flower has an owner; and each of them is also competing in a direct knockout for grower of the season, a coveted competition noone knows they have ever entered, lost or won (they might find out this year)

What are the rules?

There are none, all growing will be subject to the same treatment, the only differentiation will be the treatment of the growers and potential changes of growers as they find out and object to having the Michael extracted from them.

"What you gonna do with 10 massive Sunflowers mate?"

This is yet to be considered, a great deal of thought and effort has gone into having a laugh at others expense, the storage of 10 massive plants in an urban garden is still TBC

Are there any risks?

There is an active wood pidgeon community and "Cyril" the squirrel is very active

What if its a draw?

All measurements will be varified by unimpartial participants

What if one dies ?
